There are two teams left, and no fantasy games left to play. You're either already playing a playoff fantasy football contest (and have a good idea where you stand) or you're wondering where your options are for Sunday.

Is there anything left to play? Sort of. You just have to be really creative.

This is the most important game of the year, but the best week in the NFL might be week 3. Week 3, you say? Why would I choose that one?

Well, week three has every team playing, every fantasy game going, every daily fantasy website humming, every franchise still holding optimism and you have the benefit of a couple weeks to see how players have been performing. After the bye weeks many NFL teams are out of the playoff hunt, plenty of players are hurt and a healthy percentage of fantasy owners are already looking toward next season.

It's not week 3, of course. It's week 21. The NFL calls it week 22, but they pretend the Pro Bowl is a game and not a paid athlete vacation masquerading as a contest. So I'm calling it week 21. But whatever it is, there are no daily fantasy contests dedicated to just the Super Bowl, and real fantasy leagues held their playoff drafts weeks ago. It's just you, your friends, a ton of food, the commercials, Lady Gaga and the last two teams standing. What's a fantasy addict to do?

The answer is, not much. But here are your best bets:

Prop bets. Yes, you can gamble on everything from the MVP, to how many yards a player will have, to how long the national anthem will take. You can bet on the coin toss, who will score first, what words will be mentioned during the telecast and what some artists will wear during their appearance.

You're not really competing with anyone but the house, though. You can win money, but you can't trash talk Las Vegas. If you absolutely need a diversion, this fits the bill. But you won't get the competition you've come to expect on Sundays.

Puppy Bowl. Animal Planet hosts a little game right before the big one. It's not even a game, really: Just puppies running around a field, having fun and scoring when they drag a chew toy across the goal lines. It's also the only pre-game show worth watching, in my opinion. Nothing the networks will be showing that afternoon beats puppies. Nothing.

Now in its 13th year, they also crown a Most Valuable Puppy (MVP) and put the starting lineup on their website. So what's to stop you and your friends from holding a puppy draft, tracking their scores (pretty much a TD-only league), adding a bonus for MVP status and picking a winner?

If it sounds silly, it is. But we've been doing it at a Super Bowl party for years, and it's more fun than you think. You can root for your puppies and trash-talk your opponents who made bad selections. If you try it, allow me to suggest choosing terriers and terrier mixes. I'm not a believer in the Stud Lab Theory.

Squares. Squares are basically excuses to root for something. You choose boxes on a grid, numbers for each conference's team are added later, and if the last numbers of each team's score match up with your square after each quarter, you win! It includes luck, trash-talking, cheering, agony, elation, victory, defeat and absolutely no skill whatsoever. It's not fantasy football because it's all randomized, so there's no football knowledge required to play. But you get a lot of fantasy elements in a little game. You're rooting for numbers instead of players, so you can still brag when you beat your friends and mock them when a late score upsets their victory.

You can organize it at your party, or play with friends online using sites like Yahoo to help put it together for you. I don't think Super Bowl preparations are complete without a grid of names on squares to ponder during the game.

Just Watch the Game. Yeah, this is actually an option. Watch the last game of the season like you did before fantasy football. Just enjoy the matchup, the history and the spectacle. Laugh or groan at the commercials. Root for a team if you have a favorite. Marvel at the great plays or questionable coaching calls. But simply enjoy the game for what it is. That's a fun way to spend Sunday night as well.

Whatever you choose, enjoy the experience. And remember: Terriers. They're energetic, they fight for the toys and they love to run. The big puppies get tired. The little ones don't always want the toys. But terriers can keep you in the hunt. Have fun Sunday!
