Question

The Texans have finished with a winning record three years in a row, and they've done it with three different starting quarterbacks -- Fitzpatrick, Hoyer and Osweiler. But they're switching quarterbacks anyway. What was the last team to pull off what Houston is attempting -- four straight winning records with four different quarterbacks? One of the quarterbacks was also involved in the most-recent other three-QB streak.

Answer

The Vikings, with Brad Johnson, Randall Cunningham, Jeff George and Daunte Culpepper (1997-2000). The Bucs from 1999-2001 used Trent Dilfer, Shaun King and Johnson. Pittsburgh and Kansas City had 3-QB streaks in the '90s. The Rams (and this hardly seems possible) finished with winning records from 1983-86 with Vince Ferragamo, Jeff Kemp, Dieter Brock and Steve Bartkowski (with Bartkowski, he started only 6 games, with Jim Everett and Steve Dils starting 5 each.; for all other streaks, there was a quarterback starting over half of the year).
