Question

What three teams have gone over 20 years without using either a first- or second-round pick on a tight end?

Answer

Carolina, Miami and Buffalo. The Panthers have a first-round tight end starting for them right now (Greg Olsen) but has never chosen one in either the first or second round. Their only third-round tight end was Mike Seidman in 2003. The Dolphins have gone over 40 years since using three second-round picks on tight ends in '70s (most notably Jim Mandich, who was the 29th pick of the 1970 draft). Buffalo selected Lonnie Johnson (Florida State) near the end of the second round in 1994.
