The early morning injury news is coming out, and a couple of key Washington starters are expected to be inactive. Tight end Jordan Reed (chest) and running back Robert Kelley (ribs) aren't expected to be available.

That's the word from Adam Schefter. Their absence makes Vernon Davis a viable fill in. And Samaje Perone should be Washington's main inside runner in a likely high-scoring affair against the Raiders.

Chris Thompson also becomes more appealing; just maybe he will get a few extra chances in the backfield. Jay Gruden says the team wants to be careful not to overwork him, but maybe we will see more passing formations.
