Jared Cook, Melvin Gordon, DeAndre Hopkins and Chris Godwin. After six weeks, those players have been targeted more than anyone else inside the 10-yard line. That’s an important part of the field; that’s where most touchdowns are scored. So it makes sense to give it an extra look.

So far, Cook and Gordon have seen a league-high 9 pass attempts in that part of the field. Each has caught 7 of those 9 throws. Cook, though, has scored on only 2 of his catches. Gordon has scored on 4 (that includes a 2-point conversion, which isn’t officially isn’t considered a catch, but we have included those numbers in here anyway – we think they’re meaningful).

Godwin and Hopkins have each seen 8 targets. Godwin’s team already had its bye, so I he’s averaging the most of these targets on the season – 1.6 per game.

Overall, 35 players have seen at least 4 pass attempts in this part of the field. Only four have scored on over half of the balls thrown their way. I’ve got them in bold. Six haven’t scored at all, and I’ve got them tagged with black dots.
