Question

What was the last team to shut out opponents in back-to-back playoff games?

Answer

Da Bears, in 1985. They shut out New York 21-0, then shut out the Rams 24-0 in their following game. Those teams (Chicago and Los Angeles) will meet again at Soldier Field on Sunday night. Prior to getting shut out in that game, by the way, the Rams shut out Dallas 20-0 in their previous playoff game. That’s happened on only one other occasion in the Super Bowl era (in 1992, Chargers beat Kansas City 17-0, then lost 31-0 at Miami.)
