The Sunday morning injury news is coming in, and the most noteworthy development is in Buffalo. It won't be certain until the inactives are out, but the Bills might be down to their third-string running back against the Lions.

  • LeSean McCoy is going to test out his injured hamstring in pregame warmups, but sounds like a decent chance he'll be inactive. At the time of the Friday update, that seemed like it would benefit Chris Ivory, but Ivory has an ankle injury and reports now have him no more likely to be available than McCoy. If it plays out that way, Marcus Murphy would need to be the lead back. This does not make Murphy a great option -- you can see where Buffalo backs were ranked in the Friday update -- but just maybe he'll be close to a full-time player, if those players both wind up inactive.

  • T.Y. Hilton (ankle) apparently has a good shot to play for the Colts today. Hilton went for nearly 200 yards last week, so tough to sit him down if he's active. Some risk of aggravating the injury during the game, as we've seen with other players in recent weeks, but lots of upside as Andrew Luck's No. 1.

  • Ben Roethlisberger has cracked ribs. He'll be playing for Pittsburgh; it is probably more of a pain management issue than anything else, and it's a huge game against New England. But he's not fully healthy.

  • Additional note, as reported yesterday, James Conner (ankle) was downgraded from questionable to doubtful. It will be Jaylen Samuels as Pittsburgh's main back, with Stevan Ridley creaking onto the field for goal-line carries.
