The Rams have missed Cooper Kupp. He was their best receiver early in the season. But it’s not as if Josh Reynolds is just a warm body who can’t play at all. He’s been serviceable while filling in.

In the nine games the Rams have gone without Kupp, in fact, Reynolds has caught more touchdowns than either Robert Woods or Brandin Cooks.

In the nine games without Kupp, Reynolds has had three of their top 5 receiving games (that’s using standard fantasy scoring).

He hasn’t, however, has been as consistent or heavily used as those veterans. Reynolds also has had five of the team’s seven least productive receiving games in the nine games without Kupp.

In these nine games, Woods has caught a team-high 47 passes for 604 yards, with 4 TDs. Cooks has caught 40 passes for 550, with 3 TDs. Reynolds has caught 5 TDs but has caught 27 for 384.

That’s 67 receiving yards for Woods and 61 for Cooks, but just 43 yards per game for Reynolds.

The Rams drafted Kupp in the third round two years ago. In the next round, they selected Reynolds. Reynolds played his college ball at Texas A&M. At 6-foot-3 and 192 pounds, he’s a tall, lanky receiver. He’s build like Robby Anderson, only without the same kind of elite, burning speed (he ran a 4.52 at the combine).
