Question

What are the only two teams that have gone over 30 years without using a first-round pick on a quarterback?

Answer

New Orleans and Dallas. The Saints last selected a quarterback in the first round of the traditional draft when they chose Archie Manning with the second pick in 1971. They used a supplemental pick in 1981 on Dave Wilson of Illinois (costing them their first-round pick in the 1982 draft). The Cowboys in 1989 used two first-round picks on quarterbacks, selecting Troy Aikman No. 1 overall, then using their first-round pick in the supplemental draft on Steve Walsh (that pick became the No. 1 overall choice in 1990).
