Bucs WR Evans dealing with bad hammy and Covid-19 Reserve list
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were hoping that wide receiver MIKE EVANS would be able to return from a hamstring injury in time to play on Sunday against the New York Jets.… More The Bucs plan hit a snag on Monday when the team added Evans to the Covid-19 Reserve list. Fantasy owners will need to monitor Evans’ status in the days ahead. The Bucs did get a bit of good news on Monday, as fellow wide receiver BRESHAD PERRIMAN was activated from the Covid-19 Reserve list. While Perriman is no Evans, the Jets at least offer an appealing matchup. Less

Lions cut veteran WR Perriman
The Detroit Lions cut veteran wide receiver BRESHAD PERRIMAN after an unimpressive preseason campaign in which he finished with one catch for six yards. Perriman had more drops (2) than receptions… More (1) against the Indianapolis Colts in Friday’s preseason finale. The son of ex-Lions receiver Brett Perriman, Breshad missed time in training camp with a hip injury and was only modestly productive when healthy. Less

Around the NFL: Amon-Ra St. Brown
I like Amon-Ra St. Brown. He’s just a fourth-round pick and is playing for what should be one of the worst teams in the league, but I think he’s got a good chance to be Detroit’s leading receiver. more »

Lions add rookie WR to depleted wideout corps
The Detroit Lions traded up in the fourth-round of the 2021 NFL Draft to select USC wide receiver AMON-RA ST. BROWN. St. Brown has drawn comparisons to former Lions wide receiver… More Golden Tate. He could have an opportunity to compete for a role this season after the Lions lost most of their receiving corps from the 2020 season. St. Brown will join likely starters TYRELL WILLIAMS and BRESHAD PERRIMAN in Detroit. Less

Around the NFL: Breshad Perriman
Breshad Perriman has had an interesting career. A first-round flop with the Ravens -- he was drafted in 2015, and went on to catch just 43 passes in three seasons -- he's bounced around the league, latching on with three different teams over the last three years. And it sounds like he could be moving on once again. more »

Perriman expects a “season to remember” in 2020
Newly acquired New York Jets wide receiver BRESHAD PERRIMAN has great expectations for the 2020 season with his new team. Perriman said recently that his five-game stretch to end last season… More with Tampa Bay offered only a “tiny glimpse” of his ability. He added that the upcoming season will be a memorable one. As long as head coach Adam Gase’s offense doesn’t get in the way, Perriman could be an intriguing option for fantasy owners. Less

Jets sign free agent WR Perriman
Just hours after losing top wide receiver ROBBY ANDERSON in free agency, the New York Jets signed fellow free agent wideout BRESHAD PERRIMAN to fill the void. Quarterback SAM DARNOLD lost… More one of his favorite targets in Anderson, but the Jets are hoping that Perriman can replace the lost production. Both receivers had similar stat lines last season, and Perriman did it with less playing time with the Buccaneers. Less

Winston’s thumb just fine vs. Lions
Tampa Bay quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON did not appear to be bothered by the thumb injury he suffered last weekend, throwing for 458 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Detroit Lions on… More Sunday. Winston threw his usual interception on his second pass of the game, but he bounced back just fine. 3 of his 4 touchdown passes went to a surprising target in wide receiver BRESHAD PERRIMAN, who finished the game with career highs in yards and touchdowns. Unfortunately for the Bucs, they lost a receiver to a injury for the second straight week when CHRIS GODWIN went down with a hamstring pull and did not return to the game. Less

Andy Richardson: Deep dynasty adds
Every so often I take a close review of the waiver wire in my dynasty league, seeing if there's someone out there who's been missed. We have 26-man rosters, so most of the noteworthy rookies and veterans who can be expected to have value are already on teams. But there are always some you can look at and say, Hmm, maybe I should pick him up. Before it's too late. more »
