Jags wide receiver Ridley applies for reinstatement

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver CALVIN RIDLEY officially applied for reinstatement this week from his suspension for gambling on NFL games during the 2021 season as a member of the Atlanta Falcons.More While on the non-football injury list, Ridley placed wagers in late November 2021, a move that was condemned by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Jags WR Kirk feels disrespected after career season

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver CHRISTIAN KIRK said on Monday that he does not feel that he gets the respect that he deserves after signing a four-year, $72 million deal as aMore free agent last offseason. Kirk added that he feels he is “one of the best receivers in the NFL”. The numbers seem to support his case, as Kirk finished last season ranked among the top receivers in the league by posting career-highs with 84 catches for 1,108 yards and 8 touchdowns. Less

Much joshing (or complaining) about the contract the Jaguars handed Christian Kirk is occurring, especially since it kind of reset the wide receiver market, prompting a lot of monster contracts, trades and/or players perhaps wanting new deals. This doesn't mean, though, that Kirk isn't a good receiver.   more »

Factoid: Jacksonville receivers

Jacksonville signed Christian Kirk and Zay Jones to nice free agent contracts, but I’m not confident those guys will post good numbers. When Doug Pederson was coaching in Philadelphia, after all, the wide receivers weren’t all that involved in the offense.   more »

Cardinals QB Murray envisions three 1,000-yard receivers in 2020

Arizona quarterback KYLER MURRAY said recently he thinks it is possible that the Cardinals can have three 1,000-yard receivers in 2020. Murray, of course, is talking about wideouts DEANDRE HOPKINS, LARRYMore FITZGERALD, and CHRISTIAN KIRK. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury agreed with Murray’s assessment. The feat has been accomplished before, most recently by Arizona (Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, and Steve Breaston) back in 2008. Fantasy owners take note. Less

Rookie quarterback KYLER MURRAY threw 3 touchdown passes in Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
