The Atlanta Falcons signed kicker BLAIR WALSH on Saturday to compete with struggling kicker GIORGIO TAVECCHIO. Tavecchio has made only 4 of 8 field goals during the exhibition season. Walsh wasMore a sixth-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in the 2012 NFL Draft. Walsh was named All-Pro as a rookie, but his career went sideways after he missed a potential game-winning kick in the 2015 playoffs. Falcons cut Matt Bryant

The Atlanta Falcons cut kicker MATT BRYANT, who was with the team for ten seasons. Bryant, who will turn 44 in May, said he doesn’t plan to retire. Atlanta is expected to keep GIORGIO TAVECCHIO, who filled-in nicely last season while Bryant was out with an injury.

Bryant to return for Falcons

Atlanta kicker MATT BRYANT will return to action when the Falcons host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Bryant has been out with an injury, with GIORGIO TAVECCHIO filling in admirably during his absence. The Falcons are actually expected to keep both kickers, possibly through the end of the season.

Bryant ready to return?

Atlanta kicker MATT BRYANT participated fully in Thursday’s practice for the first time since suffering a strained right hamstring in mid-October. Bryant appears ready to return for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. GIORGIO TAVECCHIO handled place-kicking duties while Bryant was out but his fantasy days appear to be numbered.

Falcons sign new kicker

The Atlanta Falcons announced on Tuesday that they have signed kicker GIORGIO TAVECCHIO. Pro Bowl kicker MATT BRYANT injured his hamstring while kicking a 57-yard field goal on Sunday. No word just yet on how long Bryant might be out of action.

Raiders expected to retain kicker Tavecchio

With veteran kicker SEBASTIAN JANIKOWSKI now out of the picture in Oakland, the Raiders are expected to retain GIORGIO TAVECCHIO for the 2018 season. Tavecchio, 27, replaced the injured Janikowski last season and started strong before fading down the stretch.
