The “unstoppable” Josh Gordon

New Cleveland Browns wide receiver JARVIS LANDRY thinks that teammate and fellow wideout JOSH GORDON is “unstoppable”. Landry has been especially impressed with Gordon’s size and route-running ability. If Gordon can avoid the legal troubles that have plagued him in the past, he could certainly help fantasy teams.

Browns QB Taylor looks “amazing”

Cleveland wide receiver JARVIS LANDRY said that quarterback TYROD TAYLOR has looked “amazing” thus far during the offseason. Fantasy owners, however, may see Taylor as a risky option with rookie BAKER MAYFIELD on the roster as the quarterback of the future. Less

Landry considers himself the best WR in NFL

If Cleveland wide receiver JARVIS LANDRY had the first pick in a fantasy football draft he just might select himself. Landry said recently that he considers himself the best, and mostMore complete, wide receiver in the NFL. With fellow wide receiver JOSH GORDON also catching passes for the Browns, Landry may not even be the best receiver on his own team. But you have to admire his confidence. Less

Around the NFL: Browns ink Landry

Factoid: Jarvis Landry

The Browns traded for Jarvis Landry at the start of the offseason. He cost them fourth- and seventh-round picks; not too expensive. But it looks like he might be playing for them on just the one-year franchise tender, and won't necessarily be with the team long-term. After leading the league with 112 receptions last year, odds are against him being similarly productive in 2018.   more »

Around the NFL: Taylor has Browns on the upswing

The Browns aren’t going winless this year. After adding Tyrod Taylor and Jarvis Landry (and with two picks in the top 4) I’m not even sure they’re finishing in last in their division.  more »

Factoid: Touchdown distances

Tyreek Hill doesn’t have great hands; he drops too many balls. But he also sprinkles in lots of big plays, and it’s nice to have that potential – he’s always capable of turning a lesser game into a good one with a 70-yard touchdown.  more »

Around the NFL: Stop Pace before he trades again?

You get all kinds of crazy trade rumors this time of year, and a lot of them will turn out to be just rumors. But we've also heard talk that NFL GMs expect there to be more trades this year than in a typical offseason, and there have already been three -- involving Alex Smith, Marcus Peters and Robert Quinn -- before the league year has even started. But yesterday's wild one was tough to believe.   more »

Around the NFL: Bears in hunt for Jarvis Landry

The Miami Dolphins slapped the franchise tag on Jarvis Landry, but it's clear he won't play under it in Miami. Doesn't sound like there's any interest in a long-term deal, either. Miami has given permission to the receiver and his agent to seek a trade.   more »

Factoid: 2018 free agency

It looks like a lean offseason for wide receivers. Unlikely that any will be any selected in the top 10 of the draft (maybe none in the top 20). And there aren’t any can’t-miss superstars who are available in free agency.  more »

Dolphins use franchise tag on WR Landry

The Miami Dolphins have placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on wide receiver JARVIS LANDRY. If the two sides do not agree on a long-term contract, Landry will make about $16 million for the 2018 season. If the sides are able to reach an agreement, the Dolphins could rescind the tag.

Factoid: Goal-line receiving

The Dolphins have to decide whether to apply the franchise tag to Jarvis Landry. He’s been a productive possession receiver, but they’ve got other players at that position. They’ve already given a lucrative deal to Kenny Stills, and they’ve got DeVante Parker coming up. How much money do they want to commit to the wide receiver position?  more »

Factoid: Landry the rich and plenty

Miami will probably get beaten badly up in New England this week. They're not very good, and their defense won't even be a speed bump for Tom Brady. But Jarvis Landry should put up some production anyway. Throughout his career, he's been fine when matched up with New England.   more »
