Around the NFL: John Brown

Buffalo released John Brown yesterday, which wasn't surprising. It saves the team nearly $8 million against the salary cap, and they have a much cheaper, explosive option in fourth-rounder Gabriel Davis set to take over. But I will be interested in where Brown signs. The 30-year-old has exceeded expectations for much of his career.   more »

I’m not a big Cole Beasley fan. I don’t expect him to make much of an impact in Buffalo. Nonetheless, I’m seeing plenty of articles going by suggesting that he’s a key pickup for the Bills.   more »

Factoid: Hollywood Brown

What do we make of Hollywood Brown? Neat little receiver. Looks like he could be another DeSean Jackson. But the Ravens are starting Lamar Jackson, and that has me worried about their ability to get him the ball.  more »

Around the NFL: Flacco goes camping

I’m not a big Joe Flacco fan. I have posted a couple of items in the last few months dumping on him – outlining just how bad he’s been over the last two years. But I see that he’s now intending to work with his receivers in the offseason for the first time, and that’s a step in the right direction.   more »
