Around the NFL: Old Man Murray

With the Bills having one of the league's best offenses, any potential starting running back for the team must be considered. They signed Damien Harris, but the small size of the deal indicates he won't be handed anything. So a report yesterday that they're talking to Latavius Murray must be noted.   more »

Broncos veteran RB Murray still has it

When the season started, fantasy owners wondered about the backfield split between running backs JAVONTE WILLIAMS and MELVIN GORDON. With Williams out for the season and Gordon no longer with theMore team, it was veteran running back LATAVIUS MURRAY who led the backfield in Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Our little game is funny that way. The Broncos offense has struggled for much of the season, but Murray led the way on Sunday as he rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown. Less

Around the NFL: New Orleans running backs

A story in The Athletic theorizes that the Saints, in the wake of Drew Brees' retirement, will give more touches to running backs Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray. It's an idea that makes sense, but there's no getting around the fact that those players weren't better without Brees in the lineup the last two seasons -- they were worse.   more »
