NFL Injury Report: Gronkowski might play at Tennessee
The Patriots have left for Tennessee, and Rob Gronkowski and Sony Michel are on the plane. Too early to say with 100 percent confidence they’ll play against the Titans, but New England doesn’t typically bring players to road games unless it feels there’s a decent chance they’ll play. more »

49ers draft exciting wideout Pettis
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Washington wide receiver DANTE PETTIS after moving up in the second round of Friday night’s draft. With PIERRE GARCON turning 32 before the season opener and… More MARQUISE GOODWIN having had multiple concussions, Pettis seems like a solid choice for the 49ers. Pettis also owns the NCAA record with 9 punt-return touchdowns so he will likely have a role on special teams as well. Less

Around the NFL: Pierre Garcon
Pierre Garcon ended up being a disappointment in 2017. San Francisco's big free-agent signing suffered a neck injury and was lost in the first half of the year. The 49ers ended up getting a breakout season from Marquise Goodwin, and re-signed him last month. But too soon to give up on Garcon. more »

Garcon placed on season-ending injured reserve
The San Francisco 49ers leading wide receiver, PIERRE GARCON, has been placed on season-ending IR due to a neck injury. Garcon, 31, has a non-displaced fracture that will require an eight-week… More recovery. WR Crowder headed for bigger role in Washington
Washington head coach Jay Gruden says the team will try to utilize slot receiver JAMISON CROWDER more this season, both in the passing game and the running game. With former receivers… More PIERRE GARCON and DESEAN JACKSON no longer in town, Crowder seems to be in line for an increased role. Of course, newcomer TERRELLE PRYOR and second-year wideout JOSH DOCTSON expect to see a heavy workload as well. Less

Trivia: April 24, 2017
DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon both went over 1,000 receiving yards for Washington last year yet combined for only 7 TD. When is the last other time a team put a pair of wide receivers over 1,000 yards with them combining for fewer than 10 touchdowns? Looking at 1997, with a pair of receivers who had good careers (one had nine 1,000-yard seasons, and the other five). answer »
Factoid: San Francisco 49ers
I have some interest in Pierre Garcon. He’ll be the featured receiver for San Francisco, and Kyle Shanahan has a lengthy history of getting the ball in the hands of his No. 1 receiver. more »

Washington signs WR Pryor
Washington has signed wide receiver TERRELLE PRYOR just a day after the team parted ways with veteran wide receivers DESEAN JACKSON and PIERRE GARCON. While Pryor has only one year of… More production, his contract with Washington is only for one season. In a pass-happy offense, the young wideout could be an exciting fantasy option in 2017. Less
