Lions QB Sudfeld has torn ACL, will miss 2023 season

Detroit Lions quarterback NATE SUDFELD reportedly tore the ACL in his left knee in the team’s preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers and is expected to miss the 2023 season. HeadMore coach Dan Campbell said on Monday that Sudfeld was undergoing further testing to confirm the extent of the injury. The Lions signed veteran quarterback TEDDY BRIDGEWATER earlier this month to be JARED GOFF’s backup after Sudfeld filled that role last season. With Sudfeld out, the Lions could keep undrafted rookie ADRIAN MARTINEZ as their No. 3 quarterback. Detroit also has rookie quarterback HENDON HOOKER, who is expected to open the year on the non-football injury list (NFI) as he continues to recover from the torn ACL he suffered last fall in college. Detroit hosts free agent QB Bridgewater

The Detroit Lions hosted veteran quarterback TEDDY BRIDGEWATER on a visit on Monday. While no signing is imminent, Bridgewater is considered the top backup quarterback still on the market. The LionsMore return JARED GOFF as their unquestioned starter and the team also re-signed NATE SUDFELD to a one-year deal in free agency. The Lions spent a third-round pick on quarterback HENDON HOOKER in April’s NFL Draft, but he is expected to spend much of the season recovering from an ACL injury. Miami WR Hill has lofty goal for upcoming season

Miami Dolphins All-Pro wide receiver TYREEK HILL is setting his eyes on an NFL record heading into the 2023 season. Hill said recently that it’s one of his goals to haveMore 2,000 plus receiving yards this season. If he were to reach the goal, Hill would break Hall of Famer and former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson’s 1,964 receiving yards record set back in 2012.
