Right now I’m working on updating the dozens of stat files we keep around. I’m loading the 2014 numbers into our various databases, so numbers from across years and be compared.

With quarterbacks, I notice that the two longest runs in NFL history by quarterbacks have both come in the last two years. Both, in fact, in the Bay Area. Terrelle Pryor had a 93-yard touchdown against the Steelers, and Colin Kaepernick had a 90-yard touchdown against the Chargers in December.

In the last 20 years, there have been only five runs over 75 yards, and three of them have come in the last three years.
