You can’t get everyone to agree on anything. No matter how awesome a player is, there’s always somebody out there who thinks he’s due for a downturn or an injury or whatever. Such is the case with Rob Gronkowski.

Overall, Gronkowski was the most dominant player in the Fantasy Index Open, collecting 99.6 percent of the possible points at his position. He was a clearer No. 1 than any of the top-rated players at any other position.

But there are also a few who want to zag where everyone else zigs.

In this case, 13 of the 192 entries don’t have The Gronk as the top tight end. Two dropped him all the way down to 4th. The other 11 all have him in the No. 2 spot.

Go figure.

If Gronk gets hurt (and he’s had some injuries), one of that small group will become the front-runner to win this position.

All along I have speculated that there’s a tier of three tight ends behind Gronkowski, and that was supported by the voting here. Jimmy Graham, Greg Olsen and Travis Kelce – those are the next three, before a big drop down to the likes of Martellus Bennett, Jason Witten and Julius Thomas.

Then comes Zach Ertz (who’d be lower in a re-vote because of injury issues) and the surprise in the top 10. Readers like Jordan Cameron a lot more than I do. And Dwayne Allen rounds out the top 10.

We’ll score these picks in January, publishing results at each position.

Winner takes home a deluxe trophy from the team at Affordable Trophies. The top 2 finishers also win spots in the Fantasy Index Experts Poll.

Here are results for tight ends. If a player get 50 percent, that means (on average) he ranked 10th on the ballots. If a player finished at 10 percent, that would mean he (on average) ranked 19th.
