Most teams hold all their starters out of the final exhibition game. The Packers might be looking for ways to keep their second-stringers out of harm's way, too. It's been a scary August for one of the NFC's Super Bowl favorites.

Jordy Nelson tore his ACL last Sunday, and Randall Cobb left last night's game with a shoulder injury. The initial tests showed no major damage. Cobb himself said initially he'd feared he'd broken his collarbone, which obviously would have sidelined him for an extensive period of time.

Will Cobb be OK for Week 1, just two weeks from today? Cobb wasn't prepared to say that. "You know, we're taking it day by day right now," Cobb said. "We'll see come tomorrow what more we find out, and we'll go from there."

The Packers will likely update Cobb's status later, but the possibility of a top 3 of Davante Adams, Jeff Janis and Ty Montgomery in Week 1 is on the table. Seems safe to move Adams up another spot or two in the rankings, while maybe dropping Cobb behind another similar option. There should be more word on how much time, if any, Cobb will miss before people need to draft this week.
