Seth Roberts isn’t going away. He showed up last year, with 5 TDs and a 2-point conversion, and they’re continuing to use him around the goal-line this year. He’s one of the big reasons Amari Cooper hasn’t quite really blown up; Roberts tends to get used more around the goal line.

Roberts isn’t heavily used. He finished last season with only 480 receiving yards, and he’s on pace to finish with under 500 yards again. But they like the matchups he gets around the goal line. He’s caught 5 TDs and a pair of 2-point conversions this year. Cooper has been involved in two fewer scoring plays.

Overall, there are only six players in the league who’ve seen 10 targets inside the 10-yard line, and the Raiders have two of them – including Michael Crabtree. Cooper has been used less and less effective in that part of the field, catching 2 of 8 attempts, with a touchdown and a 2-point conversion.

Jermaine Kearse and DeSean Jackson have been the league’s worst players in this part of the field, failing to catch any of 14 attempts thrown their way. Jackson’s teammate, Pierre Garcon, hasn’t been much better (1 of 6).

Here are the stats for all players with at least 5 targets, with catches, targets, touchdowns (including 2-point conversions), completion percentage, and combined numbers (Rec-Att-TD) for the other players on his own team.
