We'd been kicking around the idea of the Jaguars cutting Allen Hurns. He has a big contract, and on performance and ability is probably the team's No. 3 wideout behind Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee, the latter of whom comes off a breakout campaign. But put that talk on hold for now.

Lee suffered a high ankle sprain in practice and will be out for 4-6 weeks. That timetable makes it unlikely he'll be ready for Week 1, and it's possible he'll miss multiple games. That should lock Hurns in as a Week 1 starter, and mean more reliance on rookie Dede Westbrook as one of the top 3 receivers.

A bigger concern from a fantasy standpoint is Leonard Fournette, who will be selected much earlier than Lee. Fournette has sat out the last two practices with a foot injury. The Jaguars aren't providing any details beyond saying they'll be cautious with the injury. Don't expect to see Fournette in the second preseason game, certainly.

Chris Ivory is also dealing with an injury of some sort, which could mean we see a lot of Corey Grant in the next exhibition. Grant was one of the more impressive Jaguars in the opener. A strong showing (and Fournette getting back on the field quickly) could make it easier for the team to move on from Ivory if they so choose. Not a given, but Ivory is scheduled to make $4.5 million this year, a lot of money for a (likely) backup running back.

Wide receivers and high ankle sprains, running backs and foot injuries. Not the kind of injuries you want to take many chances with. If you're drafting this week (and you shouldn't be), make sure Fournette is back practicing before using an early selection on him.
