Every Saturday morning, I'll take a quick look at all the week's games, offering my own take on what I think will happen, as well as touching on significant injury news since our Weekly came out. I'll check in every so often over the course of the day to answer questions, too.

Here's the drill: for the past few years I've been writing this preview column on Saturday mornings. It's a brief look at all the games with how I'd react in my own lineups to injury developments or other news.

The thing to keep in mind here is the official rankings are the ones in the Weekly. Those are the ones that subscribers are paying for. Sometimes players are very close in the rankings, and if I get questions like that, I'll offer opinions. Sometimes I like certain players more or less than Ian, and sometimes I have different risk tolerance with injuries/weather issues, etc. If you ask me to choose between two players that are 10-15 spots apart in the rankings, I may just refer you to them. Questions asked on Saturday I'll usually get to by Saturday night. Question asked an hour before gametime, no promises -- I might not see them. OK, on to the games.

Jets at Bills: To quote Three Amigos, someone's been through here with an ugly stick. The running backs (all three of them) seem like valid plays here. Steer well clear of the passing games, I think, though I suppose you can think about Charles Clay in PPR and maybe Robbie Anderson. I will be surprised if Josh McCown is still in the lineup by Week 4. Hey, Tyrod Taylor might not be either.

Falcons at Bears: Atlanta on the road, outside of their dome, against a fired up Bears team in a hostile environment...nah, I don't really see it. Jordan Howard, Kendall Wright and Zach Miller are the Bears who can be considered. But I think Atlanta has an improving, talented defense. On offense, thumbs up on the Falcons starters. Maybe not Austin Hooper; I'd like to see it before starting him. Bears missing Prince Amukamara.

Ravens at Bengals: On occasion I will discuss my Survivor Pools. There's one that I can buy back into the first three weeks (stay safe, Floridians) so I'm not wasting a great team, I'm going with the Bengals. Ravens just don't seem very good to me. Thin on offensive talent. I have no Ravens anywhere. Not many Bengals either, though I think Mixon will eventually be good. But seems safest to wait out Week 1 (unlike with Kareem Hunt, the Bengals have other viable running backs to use). Big year coming for A.J. Green, I wish I had him in more than one league. John Ross might play, but shouldn't be in lineups.

Steelers at Browns: Browns top draft pick is hurt, but at least they found a quarterback outside the first round. DeShone Kizer looked exciting in the preseason, but there's definitely going to be some good and bad with him this season. And I love the Steelers defense -- check their schedule early on. LeVeon Bell should be big in this game. Again a guy I'm not going to waste time telling you to start. Would prefer not to use Isaiah Crowell in this matchup. Corey Coleman maybe worth a flier in deeper leagues, but Steelers have a healthy Joe Haden helping out. Weird that they're playing in Week 1 right after Haden changed teams, hope he goes into the right locker room.

Cardinals at Lions: Everyone of note is healthy and will be out there. Note: I will never bother telling you to start David Johnson, it's a given. I have Abdullah and am starting him and hoping for some big play and just as important some receptions. We are thinking/hoping he'll get some of those chances from the less-dangerous Theo Riddick. If you followed our rankings most of you have Larry Fitzgerald and should be starting him. Marvin Jones too, though Arizona still has a quality secondary.

Jaguars at Texans: The Texans are my Survivor Pool choice in the pool I can't buy back to in. Which means they're my favorite choice of the week. The Jaguars look like a slow train wreck on offense and still need to show it on defense (they didn't in the exhibitions). Can't trust any Jaguars against Houston D. For Houston, Miller and DeAndre Hopkins. I think that covers it. Defense and Kicker too. Jaguars placed DeDe Westbrook, who I traded Terrance West for in dynasty two weeks ago, on IR. Dang. The concern is he went on IR with the same injury he sat out the third preseason game with...but PLAYED in the fourth one. So, uh, maybe he wasn't fully healthy and shouldn't have played. Just saying.

Raiders at Titans: Shootout. Probably. I like the Raiders passing game and the Titans running game. Poorer matchup for Oakland's ground game, crowding issues with the Titans passing game. Delanie Walker and Rishard Matthews, OK, Decker maybe. Not a big Lynch fan, but I suppose if you drafted him early you're starting him on short TD potential. But I prefer the wideouts. Sounds like Sebastian Janikowski is going to kick, but check Sunday morning to be sure.

Eagles at Washington: I'm not really feeling either of these teams. Seems like they're probably battling for third in the NFC East. When your best running back is a passing downs back, it's a problem. Jamison Crowder says he's fine to play, so we'll go along with that. Alshon Jeffery and Terrelle Pryor should also be busy, Zach Ertz and Jordan Reed too. Guess I like the passing games.

Colts at Rams: This feels like it should be a revenge game because Scott Tolzien seems like the kind of quarterback who would have started for the Rams at some point in the last several years. Colts have their best QB, Center, and CB ruled out. I debated Gurley versus Elliott in one draft at pick 2.02 and took Gurley, regretted it immediately, and then took Elliott at 1.10 the next day. Really hoping Gurley earns the pick; matchups don't get much better. Rams passing game, I'd rather wait and see, but matchup good for Watkins-Kupp. Doyle is the only Colt I'd be using. I mean, if you drafted Hilton early against advice, I guess you go ahead and hope he takes a short throw from Tolzien a long way. Chester Rogers out, assuming nobody was considering him.

Seahawks at Packers: No offense to Giants-Cowboys, but I think this would have been a more enjoyable Week 1 Sunday night game. But nobody asked me. So, the reason I don't draft Seattle running backs is who the heck knows. Thomas Rawls practicing in full, but Pete Carroll says he's a gametime decision. What does that even mean? So it might still be Eddie Lacy getting a lot of work against his former team. Risky, and the same applies to C.J. Prosise. Otherwise, I like the various quarterbacks, tight ends, and top receivers. Tyler Lockett should be out there, but I like Richardson better.

Panthers at 49ers: I'm a believer in Kyle Shanahan, for some reason, so I'm thinking maybe San Francisco springs the upset. But realistically, the Panthers should go in and walk all over them with lots of different players putting up good numbers. For San Francisco, Hyde and Garcon. George Kittle (who might not play) a bench stash -- that's it. If you drafted Christian McCaffrey, what the heck. I'd use him unless your other options are that much more appealing.

Giants at Cowboys: I'm injury-risk averse. So with Odell Beckham Jr. a gametime decision, I would be only considering using him if I had another comparable option in the same game or a Monday game. I'm concerned he'll either be inactive or, worse, play limited snaps. (If he's inactive, at least you can bench him and move on.) Nothing else of note to discuss here, except it looks like drafting Elliott was a good idea.

Saints at Vikings: We get two Monday games, which I really think is overkill. Saints-Vikings starts when people on the West Coast are still at work. Chargers-Broncos starts at 10:20 p.m. Eastern, which is simply too late. Anyway, we discussed this a week or two back. I think Adrian Peterson will get a few extra chances in this game so I'm a little wary of Mark Ingram. Even though he's the best back for this offense. For the Vikings, I'd favor the recent history of the Saints D over them playing well in the preseason, and start the main options -- Cook, Diggs, maybe Thielen. Maybe Cook can out-Hunt Hunt. You don't want that on your bench. I don't have Cook anywhere because he always went middle of the second round and I was always picking 10-11 and liked other players more at 13-14. But I think he'll have a big year, starting here.

Chargers at Broncos: I'm bullish on the Chargers this year, but this is not a great matchup. You start Gordon and Allen, but if I could avoid Rivers (probably can't; my other option is Winston) I would like to. C.J. Anderson and Broncos top wideouts, and brew a fresh pot of coffee because it's gonna be a late night.

Enjoy the games.
