ASK THE EXPERTS appears weekly from training camp through the Super Bowl with answers to a new question being posted Thursday morning. How the guest experts responded when we asked them: Which Week 1 performance was the fantasy -- unlikely to be repeated?

DAVID DOREY

John Ross caught seven passes for 158 yards and two scores in Seattle. He never gained more than 52 yards in any game last year or caught more than three passes. It was nice to see him step up but he also just had his best game of 2019. Tyler Boyd and eventually A.J. Green will take the lead from here on out.

SCOTT SACHS

On the positive performance side, I think the outlier may have been Andy Dalton. While the Bengals will be trailing in most of their games, Dalton chucking the ball 51 times a game for over 400 yards is not going to be sustainable nor realistic for very long. John Ross had a breakout game, but it took him how long into his career to have it? Not buying it. On the negative performance side, I don't expect Baker Mayfield to have another 3 interception game the rest of this year. Browns have tough sledding now, but their schedule eases up some the 2nd half of the season.

ALAN SATTERLEE

The Bengals have a new coach so maybe Zac Taylor will be able to bring a new vibe to Cincinnati, but regardless I am not buying the John Ross big game (Ross erupted for 7/158/2 on 12 targets). Ross does have a high draft pedigree with great speed, but I don’t see this type of elite performance continuing. A.J. Green will be back at some point but in the meantime I would expect opposing defensive coordinators to watch this past week’s film (starting with the 49ers this week) and put a clamp down on Ross who averaged just 1.6 receptions per game last year.

JUSTIN ELEFF

I imagine the he’ll-never-be-this-good-again answers have that side of things covered, so how about a very tentative he’ll-never-be-this-bad-again? Jameis Winston was putrid on Sunday, and it’s tempting to say if he can’t do better (against the 49ers defense!) with so many advantages in place (Bruce Arians! weapons galore!) he’s just never going to figure it out. But he did make a couple of better plays that were wiped out by holding calls, and we’ve seen him crap out and then ... crap back in? ... before, and the advantages are all still there. I’m blaming everything on Mike Evans’s upset stomach and hoping the whole offense is back to eating Ws — or at least passing TDs — soon.

SAM HENDRICKS

Lamar Jackson's 5 passing TDs and 324 passing yards are unlikely to be repeated again this season. Why? The first reason is Baltimore does not play Miami again. Do I need another reason? If so, second, Jackson is more likely to run or handoff to Mark Ingram as the Ravens seek to win games with clock management vice blowing out a weaker opponent. Do not expect another repeat of his Week 1 fantasy.

I know Jameis Winston is hard to trust, but I have too much faith in Mike Evans and Bruce Arians. Go get Evans.

ANDY RICHARDSON

Kudos to Lamar Jackson and Marquise Brown. They showed signs of being worth Baltimore's faith in them. But I have a feeling a lot of players are going to set season-high marks against the Miami Dolphins this year. With Brown especially, he played only a fraction of the snaps. I have no doubt they will have other long touchdown hookups, and I'm glad I have Brown in a best-ball league. But I think there will be far more quiet, 2 catches for 28 yards type games. I will be wary of starting Brown (although just maybe Arizona this week will be another hit).
