Kansas City, remarkably, has scored only 2 TDs in three of its four games. But I don’t see that slump continuing for long – especially considering the team’s upcoming schedule.

Kansas City plays Minnesota on Sunday, which is a decent enough matchup. But then the schedule really picks up. The following three are against the Broncos, Chargers and then Broncos again. Those two teams currently rank last and next-to-last in yards allowed. The Broncos allowed 70 points at Miami, while the Chargers rank 27th in scoring defense.

Kansas City in Week 9 plays Miami, in a game that should be a shootout.

Running the numbers for all teams, Kansas City’s next five games are against defenses that have allowed a combined 75 touchdowns, 9 more than any other team. There are eight teams that in their next five will play against defenses that have allowed fewer than half as many touchdowns.

It's a good time to be holding the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Isiah Pacheco.
