If you need a break from watching the Dolphins punt and shoot themselves in the foot against Kansas City -- still a half left, they can do this! -- here are a few Sunday morning developments, injury related.

  • Matthew Stafford (thumb) is out, Brett Rypien will start. That was the expectation in the Friday supplement, so Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are ranked appropriately. Nacua, who has a knee issue, is expected to play; probably not a serious issue. Maybe use it as a tiebreak if you're debating him with a similarly ranked player, but no indication he won't get his usual snaps.

  • Josh Downs (knee) is also questionable, and "tracking to play" according to Adam Schefter. Some risk in using him, I think, but it appears he'll be active.

  • Story from Schefter that the Jets tried to trade for Davante Adams before the deadline. This is only interesting to me in that it makes clear the Jets believe they're going to stay in contention this season until they're able to wheel Aaron Rodgers back onto the field in a hurried return from an Achilles tear.

  • Not a fantasy starter, but the fact that the Cowboys are expected to have tackle Tyron Smith available today is a big positive for the Dallas offense.

  • Yesterday's news, but the Cardinals didn't activate Kyler Murray, and will be starting Clayton Tune at Cleveland today. Sing me a song.

Not a lot of major developments, but if I see anything of note before the 1 p.m. Eastern kickoffs, I'll post in the comments below.
