The Los Angeles Rams signed a one-year deal with running back Boston Scott. Terms of the agreement remain secret. The former Louisiana Tech standout will join third-year player Kyren Williams, rookie Blake Corum, and Ronnie Rivers in the running back depth chart.

The New Orleans Saints selected Scott in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. However, after making it to the team's 53-man roster, the Saints waived him one day before the 2018 season started and signed him to their practice squad.

The Eagles signed Scott from the Saints' practice squad and played his first six seasons for Philadelphia. His best season came in 2021 when he had 87 carries for 373 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. In six seasons with the Eagles, Scott has 302 rushing attempts for 1,295 yards and 16 touchdowns in 75 games.

Scott will join a Rams team that entered last year's playoffs after winning seven of their last eight regular-season games. In addition to Williams, Corum, and Rivers, their offense boasts wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. Matthew Stafford will steer the ship for the Super Bowl 56 champions.

Following Aaron Donald's retirement, the Rams heavily invested in defense during the 2024 NFL draft. With their first two selections, they selected former Florida State standouts Jared Verse and Braden Fiske. The Rams added safety Kamren Kitchens, outside linebacker Brennan Jackson, and defensive end Tyler Davis.

They've also signed 14 undrafted free agents, including two safeties, two defensive tackles, two cornerbacks, and two linebackers.
