Factoid: Garrett Wilson

One of the more impressive things I saw in the latest round of exhibition games was the work of Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson. I'm not a Rodgers fan and it can be hard to sign off on a franchise like the New York Jets, but I have a feeling Wilson is headed for a huge campaign.   more »

Scheduletron: Love the schedule

The way the schedule is stacked, I like Aaron Rodgers’ old offense a lot more than his new one. The Packers have a much easier schedule than the Jets.   more »

Rodgers, 39, has participated in every training camp practiceMore but he hasn’t played in the preseason since 2018. Fantasy News: Draft v. auction

I’ve completed my rosters in a pair of Fanex leagues, and I didn’t get a “great” player in either of them. I was picking last in the draft, while in the auction I’m mentally wired to go after deals rather than superstars.   more »

Rodgers agrees to new contract with Jets

The New York Jets and quarterback AARON RODGERS agreed to a new two-year contract this week that saves the team roughly $35 million while keeping their new signal-caller in town forMore at least two seasons. Rodgers will turn 40 in December and has talked previously about wanting to play into his 40s. Rodgers said after practice earlier this week that he is “having a blast”, adding that he doesn’t “really see this as a one-year-and-done thing”. Less

Packers WR Doubs has great expectations for QB Love

Green Bay Packers second year wide receiver ROMEO DOUBS isn’t concerned about the team switching from veteran quarterback AARON RODGERS to young signal caller JORDAN LOVE heading into the 2023 season.More Doubs went as far as to say that he thinks Love “can do the same exact thing” as Rodgers, adding that he “really didn’t see what’s the big difference”. While his confidence in Love is admirable, Doubs apparently is not aware that Rodgers is an 18-year veteran, one of the most talented throwers in NFL history and a surefire Hall of Famer with 223 starts, 59,055 yards and 475 touchdowns to his name. Factoid: Aaron Rodgers

In general, I'm in on Aaron Rodgers this season. I think the new Jets quarterback will be playing with a chip on his shoulder, which has worked out for other older elite quarterbacks changing teams. And I think he can still play. But I'm not sure he's going to be able to do it for more than one season, and even for 2023, I can't help but wondering how much he has left.   more »

Around the NFL: Offseason winners

Picking through the gains and losses for each team, it looks like the Bears, Falcons, Jets and Texans have had the strongest offseasons. That’s how it looks when you ballpark the value of the players switching teams, and that opinion is supported by the value of the contracts handed out.   more »

Jets add favorite Rodgers target, sign WR Cobb

In a move that will likely draw yawns from fantasy owners, the New York Jets are expected to sign 32-year-old wide receiver RANDALL COBB to a one-year deal. New quarterback AARONMore RODGERS and Cobb became close friends over ten seasons together, and they now reunite for at least one more year. With a crowded running back corps in New York, Cobb is expected to provide little more than depth and experience to the group. Less

Green Bay signs QB Love to one-year extension

The Green Bay Packers signed quarterback JORDAN LOVE to a one-year contract extension earlier this week, essentially giving Love a two-year window to show his potential as the team’s starting quarterback.More Green Bay officially moved on from veteran quarterback AARON RODGERS last week. The Packers then proceeded to use the NFL Draft to surround Love with some new targets. Green bay added wide receiver JAYDEN REED and tight end LUKE MUSGRAVE in the second round and then added another tight end, TUCKER KRAFT, in the third round. The trio will join second-year receivers CHRISTIAN WATSON and ROMEO DOUBS to form the core of a young Packers passing game. Less

Factoid: Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers popped up on my YouTube feed yesterday. (The programmers there, apparently, have figured out what I like to watch.) And seeing his highlight cut-ups, it becomes clear that his play has definitely slipped some.   more »

Fantasy News: Tyler Conklin

Tyler Conklin has caught 61 and 58 passes the last two years, but I doubt that I will select him in any drafts this year. I just don’t have any confidence they’ll be using him that much.   more »

Andy Richardson: Aaron Rodgers

Eventually, Aaron Rodgers is going to be traded from Green Bay to the Jets. Right? They've been saying this for more than a month now, but here we are and it still hasn't happened. If I were a Jets fan, I'd be getting a little nervous.   more »

Factoid: Josh Allen

Josh Allen is more prolific than you might realize. He’s piled up more fantasy points in the last three years than anybody in league history. He’s a runner and a passer, and that’s a tough combo to beat.   more »
