Ravens RB Collins returns to practice

Baltimore running back ALEX COLLINS returned to practice on Thursday after a surprising one-day absence because of a calf injury. Collins practiced fully, suggesting that he will make his seventh consecutive start on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Fantasy owners should plan accordingly.

Ravens RB Collins missing from Wednesday's practice

Baltimore running back ALEX COLLINS was absent from Wednesday’s practice due to a calf ailment. Collins was not reported to have suffered an injury in Monday night’s game but he missedMore practice nonetheless. We will keep an eye on his status but if he’s unable to play on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, BUCK ALLEN would likely start in his place. Less

Factoid: Ravens sticking with Collins

I saw a story go by where Marty Mornhinweg was saying Alex Collins will continue to be Baltimore’s main runner. It’s not surprising. Danny Woodhead and Terrance West are coming back from injuries, but Collins has won the job. He’s been getting it done.   more »

Around the NFL: Alex Collins impressing for Ravens

Way back in the preseason, Ian Allan wrote something about how if the Seahawks wound up releasing Alex Collins, he might catch on with another team. I didn't think much about it at the time, but kind of filed it away. And they did release him, as expected, and he went unclaimed before the Ravens signed him to their practice squad. Ravens sticking with RB Collins despite fumbles

With limited options at running back, the Baltimore Ravens appear to be sticking with ALEX COLLINS despite two lost fumbles in his first 20 carries. Unfortunately for the Ravens, their options are limited so Collins remains in the mix. Fortunately for fantasy owners, other options exist.
