Around the NFL: Dolphins offense

It's no secret that Miami looks like a team with little interest in winning this season. They let a lot of capable veterans go, and will field the cheapest (by far) offensive line in the league. If they're hoping to be competitive, and not tank to land the top pick in next year's draft, they're doing a poor job of it.   more »

Rosen will have to earn starting job in Miami

Miami head coach Brian Flores said that newly acquired quarterback JOSH ROSEN will have to compete for his role with the team. Rosen was traded to the Dolphins after the ArizonaMore Cardinals drafted his replacement, quarterback KYLER MURRAY, with the top pick in the draft. Rosen will surely be motivated after being replaced so quickly by the Cardinals, but time will tell if that motivation helps him to win the starting job over veteran RYAN FITZPATRICK. Less

Around the NFL: Josh Rosen

It's the pre-draft story that won't go away. The Cardinals will apparently draft Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick, and they'll ship last year's first-rounder, Josh Rosen, out of town. Nobody is even bothering to deny it at this point. Biggest question is how much they'll get for him.   more »

Factoid: First-round quarterbacks

There were five quarterbacks selected in the first round back in April, and back then you might have guessed that Lamar Jackson had the clearest path to the starting lineup. Baltimore had only a struggling Joe Flacco ahead of him, while most of the other teams had highly-paid veteran passers in place. Funny how things work out.  more »
