Falcons sign new kicker

The Atlanta Falcons announced on Tuesday that they have signed kicker GIORGIO TAVECCHIO. Pro Bowl kicker MATT BRYANT injured his hamstring while kicking a 57-yard field goal on Sunday. No word just yet on how long Bryant might be out of action.

Atlanta kicker Bryant has strained hamstring

Atlanta kicker MATT BRYANT strained his hamstring in Sunday’s game and will miss the Falcons next game against the New York Giants on Monday night. The Falcons are expected to have a tryout today to find Bryant’s replacement.

Jones, Bryant to play Sunday for Falcons

Atlanta kicker MATT BRYANT has been out of practice all week with a back injury but he had a strong kicking session on Friday. With kickers, there’s regular scoring (using NFL points) and there are performance options – with bonuses for longer kickers and subtractions for misses. But I don’t see a lot of difference between the two.  more »
