Los Angeles Rams wide receiver ALLEN ROBINSON said recently that he thinks head coach Sean McVay will “bring out the best” in him as he begins a new season with anotherMore new team. Robinson, entering his ninth NFL season, has been a Pro Bowl receiver despite playing for a collection of teams and quarterbacks best described as mediocre (Foles, Daniel, Dalton, Bortles, Trubisky). Factoid: Pocket passers

I get a little nervous with immobile quarterbacks. When a player isn’t doing anything as a runner, it makes it harder for him to stack up statistically against the more mobile players at the position.  more »

Fantasy Index Weekly: NFC Championship: Los Angeles Rams

The NFC's top 3 seeds are gone, giving the No. 4 Rams this game at home. But the matchup isn't great. Even setting aside San Francisco winning six straight in the series, the 49ers have one of the league's best defenses: 4th in yards allowed, and 9th in points. The Rams averaged exactly 3 TDs per game during the season, and that looks like their ceiling this week.   more »

Factoid: Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford has had interceptions returned for touchdowns in three straight games. If he throws a Pick Six against Jacksonville this week, he'll tie another Matt, Matt Schaub, for most games in a row with such a miscue in NFL history. It's a pairing he'd no doubt like to avoid.   more »
