Around the NFL: Quarterback carousel

Rough day (week, season, whatever) to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. A lot of those guys have been getting hurt, and more recently a lot of those guys are getting benched. Several more just today, in fact.   more »

Around the NFL: Sunday Night Football Takeaways

Bailey Zappe is trying to keep his job and the Patriots as far away from a quality quarterback pick in next year’s draft with their win over the Broncos. New Broncos coach Payton has different plans for QB Wilson in 2023

Factoid: Denver Broncos

I like the Sean Payton hire. After his many seasons with the Saints, I think it’s fair to argue that he’s one of the top half-dozen offensive coaches in the history of the game. If there’s a coach out there who can get Russell Wilson back to being one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the game, it’s Payton.  more »

Around the NFL: Sean Payton

The Broncos are hiring Sean Payton as their new head coach. What's one more first-round draft pick? They've got to salvage last season's pick expense to acquire Russell Wilson, and at least now they've got a proven offensive mind to give it a whirl. It's not like things could be any worse than what was the league's bottom-scoring offense a year ago.   more »

Factoid: Trevor Lawrence

It's hard to believe what we saw last night. Not only was it one of the more unbelievable comebacks in NFL history, regular season or playoffs, but it was also one of the unlikeliest turnarounds. Rare is a quarterback so bad and so good in the same game.   more »
