Fuller close to returning for Texans

Houston wide receiver WILL FULLER participated fully in practice on Wednesday and appears to be close to returning from a broken collarbone suffered during training camp. Fuller was high on many fantasy cheat sheets prior to his injury so owners are hoping he can return and contribute soon.

Texans WR Strong suspended for one game

Houston wide receiver JAELEN STRONG lost his appeal and will serve a one-game suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy. Strong has had an excellent training camp and offseason. Houston WR Fuller suffers broken collarbone

Houston wide receiver WILL FULLER will undergo surgery and be out for 2-3 months after breaking his collarbone during Wednesday’s practice. Fuller was expected to start opposite DEANDRE HOPKINS but receivers JAELEN STRONG and BRAXTON MILLER will now likely battle for that role while Fuller recovers.

Texans expecting growth from WRs Fuller, Miller

The Houston Texans are hoping for “exponential growth” from second-year wide receivers WILL FULLER and BRAXTON MILLER heading into 2017. With most receivers experiencing the greatest progression and growth between their first and second years, the Texans have high expectations for the duo.

Around the NFL: NFL playoffs

Patriots didn’t have too much trouble with Houston, which wasn’t a surprise. They beat them 27-0 in the regular season, and the playoff game was only nominally more competitive. The Texans played better and got three turnovers, causing the game to extend into the fourth quarter.  more »
