Every Saturday morning, I'll take a quick look at all the week's games, offering my own take on what I think will happen, as well as touching on significant injury news since our Weekly came out. I'll check in every so often over the course of the day to answer questions, too.

Trying to find a comp for what Devonta Freeman is doing lately. Priest Holmes, Marshall Faulk and that stretch drive Fred Taylor had a number of years ago are what comes to mind. It's crazy the numbers he's piling up right now. I have him on a couple of teams and am kicking myself for not having him on more. If not for his preseason hamstring injury he'd probably be on every Index reader's team; we had him above Tevin Coleman all preseason, until he was sidelined all of August. Oh well. Hopefully you've got him somewhere.

Bengals at Bills: McCoy and Watkins and probably Manuel are in. Williams is definitely out and Taylor probably is. I gave a conservative answer to using McCoy to somebody yesterday, but I think it comes down to what other options you have. He's high enough in our rankings that you probably should use him if you have him, just acknowledge there's some risk of aggravating his injury. But he'll be out there. As for Watkins, well, I'm using him somewhere, because if you bench every banged-up player you don't have a lineup. Maybe the squeaky wheel gets some grease, too. The Bengals are healthy.

Broncos at Browns: Considered the Broncos in my Survivor Pool but I hate to pick road teams. The Browns to consider here are Duke Johnson, Gary Barnidge and Travis Benjamin. For the Broncos, if they can't run on the Browns they can't run on anyone. Have been trying unsuccessfully to trade C.J. Anderson this week, but might be better off waiting until next week. Regardless, I basically give up on him and the Broncos ground game, which benefited the last couple of years from Peyton Manning being not the guy he currently is.

Bears at Lions: Which quarterback is more likely to implode and lose this game? Strangely it is not Jay Cutler. More importantly we've got Alshon Jeffery, Eddie Royal and Martellus Bennett all questionable. None can be used until making sure they're active. Any questions on these guys I'll say, if active, I'd use them. I'm waiting on Bennett in a couple of leagues myself. I've finally benched Ameer Abdullah, BUT might have slightly more interest in PPR if Theo Riddick in active, since Abdullah would then get those third-down chances he'd already be getting if the Lions weren't a bunch of morons.

Texans at Jaguars: T.J. Yeldon questionable. If active, I'd use him. If inactive, I'd consider Denard Robinson, and in fact do have him in a league (same as Abdullah). It's going to be busy around here when those early inactives come out. Both passing games against soft defenses look fine.

Kansas City at Vikings: I picked up Charcandrick West and am starting him, but Knile Davis will probably be involved; I'm thinking committee. For Minnesota, I really wouldn't want to use the passing game, I think they'll just lean on Adrian Peterson whenever they can. And this should be one of those games.

Washington at Jets: I would not use any Washington players here. Definitely not the ground game. Passing game, not clear if DeSean Jackson, who maybe had a setback this week, will be out there. Pierre Garcon and Jamison Crowder would then be the top two, with some PPR value, since Washington has to move the ball somehow. For the Jets there's Ivory, Marshall and Decker. Thought about the Jets in the Survivor Pool, but Washington has impressed me this year, so you never know.

Cardinals at Steelers: Think I'm finally going to start Chris Johnson, but Arizona will use three running backs, limiting his upside. For the Steelers, they get Martavis Bryant back, and I think he's worth the gamble. Obviously it'd be nicer if Pittsburgh had Ben Roethlisberger, but they don't. Like Arizona's passing game.

Dolphins at Titans: The Titans are my pick-up-a-lesser-defense-and-try-them-out choice of the week. Ryan Tannehill takes a lot of sacks and while I think Miami will get a boost from the coach being fired, it's not like they're likely to suddenly be a well-oiled machine or anything. The Dolphins are terrible against the run, but Tennessee's use of its running backs is unpredictable. Rank 'em Sankey, Andrews, McCluster but don't count on any of them.

Panthers at Seahawks: No thanks to Carolina's offense in this game. I'm even benching Cam Newton. Tough matchup for Seattle, too, but I like Marshawn Lynch just fine. Made Seattle my Survivor pick. Don't feel great about it but had to go with someone, and I've used several other favorites (like the Packers, below).

Chargers at Packers: Green Bay's offense should be very good in this game. For San Diego, I'm not quite buying Green Bay's defense as this juggernaut group; what good offenses have they played? That's right, none. I'm not afraid to use Rivers, Allen, Gates.

Ravens at 49ers: Yawn. No Steve Smith. Crazy that San Francisco's starting wide receivers used to start for Baltimore. The big issue here is if Justin Forsett plays. I think he will, but I have Javorius Allen ready if not. Sadly, with the later kickoff, it will be tough to use him if you don't have both players. Not a great matchup regardless; I wouldn't want to use Allen unless I had no other choice.

Patriots at Colts: On the one hand, the Patriots have run all over the Colts with LeGarrette Blount and then Jonas Gray in the last three meetings. But on the other hand, that's what the Colts will EXPECT, and it would be just like the Patriots to say, You think you know what we're going to do? Watch this. And come out with spread formations, Dion Lewis, and pass the Colts into oblivion. So I think Blount will have a good day, but I also think you have to start Brady and the Patriots passing game if you have them. They can and probably will do what they want here. Unfortunately, Lewis is questionable, making him a somewhat dicey choice. ... As I write this, it seems like Andrew Luck will play. I am not overly excited about any Colts here, unfortunately. This has the feel of a butt-kicking. But it's in Indy and sometimes home teams rise up, so maybe the Colts surprise us all.

Giants at Eagles: Let's see what Beckham Jr.'s practice participation is today. Ideally you have another player going in this game who you can plug in if he's not out there, like say Dwayne Harris. Sounds like Rueben Randle will play, although he's Rueben Randle, and thus not a highly desirable option anyway.

Enjoy the games.
