Stuff changes quickly in the NFL. Remember when we were all in awe of the Broncos? And then the Steelers. And now the Patriots. A few weeks from now, who knows. Just when you start to think too much of yourself, along comes an injury or a punch in the mouth to remind you that what you really know is what already happened -- not what's going to happen next.

49ers at Bills: Are we into the Chip Kelly countdown stage? Hard to see him lasting the season if the 49ers are going to get lit up like this each and every week. Start everyone against the 49ers. It's funny, a few weeks back everyone figured Rex Ryan was the one whose job was hanging by a thread, but here we are and the Bills look great. Another huge game for LeSean McCoy (against the guy who traded him, just another Kelly misstep). Colin Kaepernick had a good fantasy game; running for 66 yards will do that. Torrey Smith caught a long touchdown on benches everywhere.

Jaguars at Bears: Little more defense than offense, and I have no explanation for why Allen Robinson isn't more of a go-to player. I will admit, I didn't even know Arrelious Benn, who caught a long touchdown, was still in the league. He's their 5th receiver, maybe. Another big game for Cameron Meredith, I think we can all agree he's legit. I picked him up in dynasty two weeks ago when my preferred choice, Brice Butler, was taken a few minutes before I could grab him. Sometimes you're lucky. A few carries for Kareem Carey, better yards per carry than Jordan Howard, but Howard is still the clear No. 1 here; just solid run defense by Jacksonville.

Rams at Lions: Case Keenum throwing for 300-plus yards and 3 TDs. Incredible. Kenny Britt over 100 yards with 2 TDs, including a sweet tackle-breaking, fighting his way into the end zone one. But the Lions win on a huge day from Golden Tate, because everyone saw that coming. Anquan Boldin and Marvin Jones both scored, so there's that. Lions do nothing on the ground, why you don't need to care whether it's Zenner, Forsett or Washington. Another eh game from Todd Gurley.

Steelers at Dolphins: "Upsets do happen," I said Saturday. Boom. Jay Ajayi with a couple of touchdowns and 200 rushing yards on benches everywhere. Just kind of a bizarre game that reminds you nothing can be taken for granted. The number of dud games from top wide receivers this year is really calling into question this whole drafting wide receivers first thing. Sammie Coates held without a catch on 4 targets, the risks of messing with injured players. About half of my various survivor pools got wiped out on this game, fortunately for me I took the Patriots. Don't like to take road teams. Ben Roethlisberger tearing his MCL obviously a huge factor here, so they'll face the Patriots next week with Landry Jones. Paging Michael Vick?

Bengals at Patriots: Gronk is back, Brady is back, and it sure looks good for them storming all the way through the rest of the NFL this season. This two-tight end thing is working out great for the Patriots, not so much for their wide receivers, however. Hope you avoided Jeremy Hill, a predictable poor game for him. Bengals have really had a rough schedule to start the year, it's going to get better.

Panthers at Saints: Sometimes the blowouts you expect do come true. What's surprising is the Panthers continuing to lose their close games. Super Bowl hangover I guess. Nice game if you started Cam, while the Saints continue to always leave one key fantasy name out of the picture -- two this week in Snead and Ingram. Rushing touchdown for Coby Fleener of all people. 'Cause that's fair. Carolina 1-5 one year after going 15-1; crazy.

Ravens at Giants: A wild, back-and-forth game, like all the Ravens games this season. Hope you bought low on Odell Beckham Jr., rather than sold low. Huge game, and he pretty much singlehandedly won the thing -- and a lot of fantasy matchups I imagine. Big game for Terrance West, although there was a goal-line stand where he got stopped three times that factored into the loss. Ravens looked like they had a game-winning pass opportunity at the end but Flacco didn't see it (and it would have been controversial with Baltimore getting new life after an iffy roughing the passer call).

Browns at Titans: Give the Browns credit for trying; they might win a game eventually. In this one I question a coaching move: down 15, they scored, and went for 2, failing (and being down by 9). I understand that when you are down 15 you need a 1 and a 2-point conversion, but teams always take the extra point first, and should -- so you can be down one score. Not getting it and still being down two scores just doesn't work. Hue is getting bad advice on the sidelines. Big games for Terrelle Pryor and Marcus Mariota, Cody Kessler too. And Kendall Wright, because that makes sense. Tajae Sharpe was out there being targeted, but no catches.

Eagles at Washington: Eagles defense looking a little more mortal, apologies to the people I advised against using Matt Jones to on Saturday. Not great numbers for Carson Wentz, but the guy still looked pretty capable and wasn't helped by his receivers (including Zach Ertz dropping a touchdown). I think teams should come to grips with the fact that 3- and 4-back running back committees don't work and go with one or two guys, better for fantasy owners and probably better for NFL teams. Just a thought. It's a wide-open NFC East. Vernon Davis catches a touchdown and is a worthwhile add if nobody else did already.

Kansas City at Raiders: When you see that rushing touchdown from Dontari Poe in the box score, know that it was a pass play that happened to be a lateral, costing Alex Smith owners in fantasy leagues. At least if you started Jamaal Charles you got a touchdown, but it was still Spencer Ware's backfield. And Kansas City is running it and playing defense well enough that the passing game isn't helping anyone. Nice game for Amari Cooper. Hands off Oakland ground game right now.

Cowboys at Packers: I can only assume there's speculation as to whether Aaron Rodgers is hurt, because he was about as off his game as you could imagine. Bad pick. Lost fumble on a scramble near the goal line. Overthrew a wide open Randall Cobb in the end zone in a 20-6 game. And kudos to that Cowboys secondary, which is doing a nice job on opposing No. 1s. Green Bay run defense did not shut down Ezekiel Elliott (157 yards). Obviously. A couple of touchdowns for Cole Beasley. Dez Bryant returns to this 5-1 team after the bye. As for Romo, well, let's take a few more weeks to get him 100 percent healthy. Eddie Lacy got 17 carries but probably not fully healthy since they were trying Ty Montgomery at running back. Which went poorly. Davante Adams left with a concussion, helping Montgomery's line.

Falcons at Seahawks: Yeah, they hooked Julio's arm on the game-ending fourth down heave. Sort of looked like the play was there regardless; like he leapt for a ball he could have run under. I know, I know, easy to say. Bottom line is just the Seahawks are good at pulling out these close games, and the Falcons aren't there yet. But hey, they're good. And they came very close to pulling out a pair of wins on the road against great Denver and Seattle defenses the last two weeks. They're going to win the NFC South -- no question. Same point on Seattle, so maybe we'll see this matchup again in January. Nice game for Christine Michael.

Colts at Texans: If you want to see some angry people, check out Adam Schefter's Twitter feed last night when Will Fuller was active (after Schefter had reported Sunday morning that he wouldn't be). "I started Crabtree/Foster/etc. because of you!" Not going to dwell on this too much beyond saying we've seen teams have injured players active before, but not put them on the field, and we'll see it again. Once you get burned by it, you become extra wary of messing around with gametime decisions and the like. As for the game, Indy's defense has gotten healthier and better, but it let down at the end. Brock Osweiler doesn't look good, but didn't quit. Maybe 7-9 wins this division. Nice game for Lamar Miller.

Monday, Monday: Should be a nice game for the Cardinals, but as noted earlier, you never know. Jets still have some nice defensive pieces and some pride, and if that line starts getting to Carson Palmer, well, it could be a different kind of game than most expect. But I'm starting David Johnson (natch) and John Brown and could use some points. Calling it Cardinals 23, Jets 17.
