The time of year when fantasy football is arguably the least fun. It's terribly stressful to watch games and hope your players do good things and coaches make good (or at least understandable) decisions. Kicking yourself (or the rankings) over lineup decisions, or lamenting playoff seeding draws where you face LeVeon Bell getting 51 points against you (and would have won against anybody else) or lose because of bizarre no-shows by stars like Devonta Freeman or Jimmy Graham.

Here's hoping at least half of you won, or had byes, or are in total point competitions over the next couple of weeks -- and it's not over yet. Because it's no fun when it's over.

Steelers at Bills: Always cool watching a game played in the midst of big, fluffy snowflakes. And great when one of the game's very best players steps up with a huge game in what was for many the first week of the fantasy playoffs. If you drafted LeVeon Bell, even with him suspended the first three weeks of the season, you're probably in the playoffs and probably won this week. ... Some garbage-time production for the Bills, like a LeSean McCoy TD. Sammy Watkins TD too, nice for those who gambled on that foot.

Chargers at Panthers: Lost a playoff matchup where for most of the day the highest scorer on either team was Graham Gano. That kind of day. Pretty decent game for the Carolina offense, mistake-filled one for the Chargers, perhaps thrown off by the Melvin Gordon injury. Called a leg/hip injury, didn't sound promising, but there was apparently a favorable initial diagnosis. Yeah, I don't know what that means right now. Anyway,

Bengals at Browns: Nice game for Isaiah Crowell, though vultured on a touchdown by Robert Griffin III. Otherwise it was all Bengals, as expected, and Griffin looked like he'd been out three months with a shoulder injury. More missed kicks from Mike Nugent, who you'd think would be out of a job by now. Good numbers from expected Bengals Hill, Eifert and Dalton. Browns 0-13 and never has a team looked more like a lock for 0-16. I think even the Lions had an overtime loss late in the year when they went winless.

Bears at Lions: Called this one about right; Lions win, but don't put up big offensive numbers. Seemed to catch some late breaks with the Bears having a couple of long pass plays at least into field goal range wiped out by penalties. Debated Lions or Colts in my Survivor pool and chose poorly. Lions used Dwayne Washington most, and Tate, Boldin and Ebron caught a bunch of short passes. Nice day for Cameron Meredith. Good final numbers from Jordan Howard who probably should have got a few more carries, eh? Daniel Brown caught 6 passes for 42 yards, those of you in leagues where TEs get 1.5 points per reception. Finger injury for Matthew Stafford, something that could bother him the rest of the way.

Texans at Colts: Stupid Colts. Running stupid plays that got their quarterback clobbered and trying to run a screen pass to the immortal Robert Turbin on fourth and 1 in the final minutes. Chuck Pagano probably a nice guy and all, but I sincerely believe the Colts win close games (when they win) in spite of him and lose (when they lose) because of him. Yes, Houston has some good defensive players, but this was a game the Colts had no business losing. Some poor decisions by Andrew Luck, though, too. Painful no-show by Donte Moncrief. Another lousy showing by Brock Osweiler, whose team definitely wins games in spite of him. Colts now in third in the AFC South after the Titans also win a game they should have lost.

Vikings at Jaguars: Ah, Allen Robinson. I started him and recommended him to several on Saturday. Yes he has had a disappointing year and was dealing with Xavier Rhodes and there were some things going against him here. But for him to manage just one useless reception 17 yards; very disappointing. Vikings comically running Matt Asiata into the line in short-yardage over and over again. Had a 23-yard run but his other 10 carries went for 14 yards. But he scored, so there's that. Anyway, two terrible offenses turning in terrible performances. Sorry about Robinson. Let me down too (I realize it doesn't make anyone feel better). Probably no one started Marqise Lee, who went over 100 yards.

Cardinals at Dolphins: David Johnson ultimately finished with decent numbers, but what a horrific game for Carson Palmer and the Cardinals offense. Whenever I looked he was turning it over one way or another, like he has never played a road game in his life (the way he's looked all season long). Late in the game a low hit on Ryan Tannehill and initial reports are probable torn ACL. A shame with him actually kind of sort of leading his team on a playoff push. Jay Ajayi had a touchdown wiped out by a holding penalty in this game (so could have been better than his numbers).

Washington at Eagles: Philly very competitive in this one, as has been the case for them generally at home, but Washington's offense did enough to win. But Jordan Reed did no one any favors by playing hurt, and Jamison Crowder picked a really bad week to have a bad game. Unless you had a bye, in which case, whew! Robert Kelley looked really good, DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon stepped up. Nice games for various key Eagles, notably Ertz, Matthews (2 Ts) and a touchdown from Sproles.

Broncos at Titans: Very frustrating game to watch. Broncos shutout most of the day, including passing up a short field goal to go for it on 4th down early in the fourth quarter down 13-0. They could have used those 3 points. Bennie Fowler later dropped a touchdown with the Broncos trailing 13-7, then jumped up looking for a flag. No man, you just dropped the thing. Better game by Trevor Siemian than the scoreboard suggested. He has no running game (nice lost fumble by Justin Forsett) and a poor offensive line, but did enough to win if his players didn't keep dropping passes or fumbling it away. Oh yeah, Titans win, they're a first-place team.

Jets at 49ers: Matt Forte hurt, Brandon Marshall no rapport with Bryce Petty. So Jets win, but it's pretty much an ugly picture for the Jets offense. And Petty doesn't look like a good quarterback. Bilal Powell probable starter this week, though (and maybe beyond), with the Forte injury. Big game for Carlos Hyde, Vance McDonald hurt his shoulder in this one, signed a contract extension two days ago. Niners bad. Moving on.

Seahawks at Packers: Maybe the reason Mike McCarthy sometimes gets some heat is because the team should look like THIS more often. Packers simply outclassed a good Seahawks team, where has that been all season. Adams, Nelson, Rodgers. Not much to say about the Seahawks, Russell Wilson played poorly though he didn't have much help (couple of the INTs were tipped, including one bouncing off Doug Baldwin's chest). Thomas Rawls a nice running back, emphasis on running (liability in passing game). Wilson did miss a couple of possible touchdowns, including one to Jimmy Graham (a lone catch for him, brutal).

Falcons at Rams: Rams fumbled away the opening kickoff, Falcons scored 8 seconds in, ballgame over. At least Coleman and Gabriel and Ryan had nice games for you. Devonta Freeman did not. That's fantasy football. Gabriel is for real but a little scary to use him since he only caught 3 passes with Jones and Sanu out. But those long TDs keep coming.

Saints at Buccaneers: Tale of two halves of the season for the Buccaneers defense, which was comically bad on a Thursday night against the Falcons a while back, but for the last several weeks has been really, really good. Why fight it, they're for real. They're in Dallas next week, however. ... Not a big offensive game for either team, no explanation for why Mark Ingram did zip. It just kind of looks like the Saints aren't sure what they want to do sometimes with their various players. Brandin Cooks dropped a touchdown, also was missed by Drew Brees on a possible score. Willie Snead benefited from Michael Thomas being out.

Cowboys at Giants: So the Giants defense is for real, even with Jason Pierre-Paul out. Frustrated the Cowbosy and played really well in the secondary. Dallas defense also pretty good, but one big play out of Odell Beckham Jr. was enough. Dallas was a win away from getting a bye but now could actually lose the division. This week's game against Tampa Bay is no gimme.

Monday Monday: So the Ravens have had some success against the Patriots, and they have a very good defense. Won't be stunning if the Ravens win this game, and certainly they'll probably hold New England's offense in check. This has the look of a 20-17, 23-20 type of game, and I'm picking the upset. Ravens win, and we all go to bed bleary-eyed and hoping we have meaningful games in Week 15.
