Taking an early look at the kickers for Week 16, I would say the best available waiver wire kicker in a lot of leagues would be Ryan Succop. He’s on a good, contending team, and the matchup couldn’t be better – against a lesser team transitioning to a new coach.

Jacksonville has been remarkably bad this year, allowing a league-high 139 kicking points. If each week you had started the kicking going against the Jaguars, right now you would be 3 field goals and 15 points ahead of Justin Tucker.

The Jaguars have the right blend of being bad and also having enough talent on defense to ensure plenty of field goal attempts. They’ve allowed 4 more field goals than anyone else (and 3 more than any other team has scored).

In the earlier meeting, Succop scored a season-high 12 points against them.

The offense-defense numbers, meanwhile, suggest three teams that probably will wind up in the playoffs should rank in the bottom-10 in kicking points – Steelers, Giants, Dolphins.

On the chart below, the extra point and field goal numbers represent the totals for each team’s offense relative to the defense it will see in Week 16.
