Bucs release veteran kicker Succop

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released veteran kicker RYAN SUCCOP, 36, in a move that will save the team $3.75 million against the salary cap. Succop had one year remaining on hisMore contract that was not guaranteed and was coming off his worst season with the Bucs, connecting on only 81.6% of his field goal attempts. Succop also struggled on long range kicks. Bucs keep Succop in town with three-year deal

The Tampa Bay Bucs signed veteran kicker RYAN SUCCOP to a new three-year contract on Wednesday, following a career year in 2020. The 34-year-old Succop won the kicking job over MATTMore GAY after only a week in training camp last season. He proceeded to have one of the best seasons of his career, connecting on over 90 percent of his field-goal attempts. Less

The Tampa Bay Bucs placed kicker RYAN SUCCOP on the Covid-19 reserve list on Tuesday. The Bucs are hopeful that Succop will be available for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons,More but he will need to test negative during quarantine first. A year after spending a fifth-round pick on him, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived kicker MATT GAY. The Bucs will head into the 2020 season with veteran RYAN SUCCOP as their kicker. Gay had struggled throughout training camp and will go down as another kicking disappointment for Tampa Bay.

The Tennessee Titans released veteran tight end DELANIE WALKER and veteran kicker RYAN SUCCOP last week. Walker was one of the top tight ends in the league after joining the TitansMore in 2013, having success through the 2018 season. The Tennessee Titans re-signed kicker RYAN SUCCOP to a five-year, $20 million dollar contract extension that will keep him with the team. Succop, 31 was scheduled to become a free agent. He is coming off career highs last season with 35 field goals and 42 attempts.
