Question

If Josh McCown starts for the Jets, it will be the 6th team he’s started for in his career. Who are the two quarterbacks who’ve started for seven different franchises? These guys are retired, and they have one team in common – the Rams.

Answer

Chris Chandler and Gus Frerotte. Chandler played for the Colts, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Rams, Oilers, Falcons, Bears and Rams (separate stints in Los Angeles and St. Louis). Frerotte played for the Bengals, Broncos, Lions, Dolphins, Vikings, Rams and Washington. Others have been on seven different rosters but haven't started for seven different teams, including McCown, Jeff Blake, Steve Bono and Vinny Testaverde (counting Browns and Ravens as different).
