It’s early, but to me, Ben Johnson, Bobby Slowik and Shane Waldron look like the offensive coordinators teams will want to interview for head coaching jobs at the end of the season. They seem to be ahead of the curve when it comes to breaking down defenses, and that’s what teams are looking for nowadays.   more »

Lions OC Johnson expecting offense to take “a huge step forward”

Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson said recently that he expects the offense to take “a huge step forward in terms of growth and knowledge base” heading into the upcoming 2023More season. Head coach Dan Campbell added that he’s loved Johnson’s game plan this spring of getting back to the basics with the goal of doing everything they did well last season even better this season.
