Around the NFL: Darius Slayton

I see that Darius Slayton is staying away from the Giants’ workouts, hoping to get his contract adjusted. I’m not sure if that will be successful, but I can see where he’s coming from.   more »

Around the NFL: Darius Slayton

Darius Slayton caught my eye yesterday, saying in an article in the New York Post that he considers himself to be a No. 1 receiver. That’s bold talk from a receiver who’s never had an 800-yard season. But I will concede that Slayton made the most of his opportunities last year.  more »

Giants WR Slayton sees himself as possible WR1

New York Giants wide receiver DARIUS SLAYTON said recently that he believes he can be the go-to target in a wide receiving corps that is generally seen as lacking a trueMore WR1 option. Slayton, who re-signed with the Giants this offseason, is part of a crowded wideout room in New York that also includes STERLING SHEPARD, WAN’DALE ROBINSON, ISAIAH HODGINS, PARRIS CAMPBELL, JAMISON CROWDER, and third-round pick JALIN HYATT (among others). While Slayton’s confidence is admirable, fantasy owners will want to monitor the situation throughout training camp and the preseason. Less

Around the NFL: Giants wide receivers

Looking at the Giants offense, I'm perplexed as to who their top wide receiver will be. They have a lot of different guys who have done stuff in the past, and several guys who they're hoping will do stuff in the future. But hard to be confident any will do it this year.   more »

Giants sign WR Hodgins to one-year deal after breakout season

The New York Giants re-signed wide receiver ISAIAH HODGINS, 24, to a one-year minimum salary contract after he made 42 catches for 459 yards and 5 touchdowns in 10 games lastMore season. The Giants added Hodgins off waivers in early November and he quickly jumped over KENNY GOLLADAY to become a starter opposite DARIUS SLAYTON. Hodgins became a favorite target of quarterback DANIEL JONES down the stretch. Less

Fantasy News: They might be Giants

Giants overwhelmed by injuries

New York Giants running back SAQUON BARKLEY reportedly dodged a serious injury in Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, suffering what is believed to be a low ankle injury that willMore leave him week-to-week. Meanwhile, quarterback DANIEL JONES is in the concussion protocol and will be monitored throughout the week. That’s not all fantasy owners, oft injured wideout KENNY GOLLADAY is expected to miss a couple of weeks due to a knee injury. Giants receiving corps all banged up

New York Giants tight end EVAN ENGRAM and wide receiver DARIUS SLAYTON both sustained injuries in Sunday’s preseason loss to the New England Patriots. Engram tweaked his calf while Slayton injuredMore his foot near the ankle area. Around the NFL: Giant Developments

The Giants lost Saquon Barkley to season-ending IR, of course, and they've now lost Sterling Shepard for at least the next three games with a turf toe injury. New York faces San Francisco this week, so not a great matchup, but it's a banged-up San Francisco defense, too.   more »

Giants QB Jones continues old Eli Manning tradition

New York Giants quarterback DANIEL JONES said last week that he planned to continue ELI MANNING’s tradition of gathering wide receivers for some throwing and route-running sessions in the offseason.
