Vikings add new wideout to receiving corps

The Minnesota Vikings signed former Chicago Bears wide receiver KENDALL WRIGHT last week. Wright is expected to join the team as a slot receiver who can pair with ADAM THIELEN and STEFON DIGGS in the Vikings’ top three-receiver set.

Around the NFL: Bears in hunt for Jarvis Landry

The Miami Dolphins slapped the franchise tag on Jarvis Landry, but it's clear he won't play under it in Miami. Doesn't sound like there's any interest in a long-term deal, either. Miami has given permission to the receiver and his agent to seek a trade.   more »

Bears release veteran WR Cruz

The Chicago Bears released veteran wide receiver VICTOR CRUZ on Friday. The move comes as little surprise after Cruz failed to make much of an impact during the preseason. With Cruz’s release, former Titans wideout KENDALL WRIGHT is expected to make the final roster.

The Bears signed Mike Glennon to a $14-million contract, and that's the move which got the most attention -- a sizable deal for a quarterback who hasn't played the last two seasons. And they are apparently paying Markus Wheaton $6 million for this season. But I think the Bears have done some good in the last week, too, and that the Glennon move has been criticized too much.   more »
