The first wave of cuts came in yesterday, and I'd like to personally thank the handful of teams that didn't make us wait until 4 p.m. today. A shame more teams didn't follow suit. What's the hold up? Bears release veteran WR Cruz

The Chicago Bears released veteran wide receiver VICTOR CRUZ on Friday. The move comes as little surprise after Cruz failed to make much of an impact during the preseason. With Cruz’s release, former Titans wideout KENDALL WRIGHT is expected to make the final roster.

Bears sign WR Cruz to one-year deal

The Chicago Bears signed free-agent wide receiver VICTOR CRUZ to a one-year contract as the seven-year veteran tries to prove that he is healthy and able to contribute. Cruz has had numerous injuries over the past several years but he insists that he has a lot of good football left.

Giants release Jennings, Cruz

The New York Giants released wide receiver and fan favorite VICTOR CRUZ on Monday, along with running back RASHAD JENNINGS. Cutting Cruz and Jennings will save the Giants around $10 millionMore against the salary cap and allow them to be more active in free agency.
