With the 2014 NFL Draft in the books, it's time to really start thinking about rookie dynasty drafts. Mine starts Friday, but at least one reader says his starts on Monday, so I'm putting up a first-take, quick mock. I may revise this later in the week after I've had a chance to analyze everyone more fully.

Remember, this is a dynasty draft, so the fact that, say, Carlos Hyde is unlikely to be a rookie starter is irrelevant. Or not irrelevant, but I am not presenting these players based on how I think they'll do in 2014, but rather over the next 3-5 years. Landing spot matters, but if you worry about that too much, you could miss out on a player who is tearing up the league in 2015 or 2016 just because he's a backup in 2014.

The following two-round mock will be a blend of how I think players will go and should go. Comments welcome, and again, I'll probably submit a revision by the end of the week. But these are my initial thoughts.

1. Sammy Watkins, Bills.
2. Mike Evans, Bucs.
3. Carlos Hyde, 49ers.
4. Bishop Sankey, Titans.

My suspicion is that these will be the first four players in most rookie drafts. Watkins and Evans will likely start right away, with Watkins Buffalo's clear top receiver and Evans the No. 2 in a Tampa Bay offense that will run through its top two wideouts. Hyde's selection makes me think the 49ers aren't terribly optimistic about Marcus Lattimore, view Kendall Hunter as a change-of-pace guy, and expect this is Frank Gore's last season. If I were putting money on San Francisco's 2015 starter, it would be Hyde. Sankey is a talented guy joining a Titans team with Shonn Greene as its starter that wants and needs to run the ball.

5. Brandin Cooks, Saints.
6. Odell Beckham Jr., Giants.
7. Eric Ebron, Lions.
8. Marqise Lee, Jaguars.

I suspect Cooks' landing spot with the Saints will get him picked ahead of Beckham and Lee, although both of those guys could quickly be very good starters, as well. Ebron will be a receiver-only in one of the league's pass-happiest offenses.

9. Kelvin Benjamin, Panthers.
10. Jeremy Hill, Bengals.
11. Tre Mason, Rams.
12. Terrance West, Browns.

It hasn't taken long to get to the point where few will agree on which players to draft next. Benjamin certainly has the most opportunity on a Carolina team that has a pitiful receiving corps. Hill is a talented guy that should zoom by BenJarvus Green-Ellis quickly to split work with Giovani Bernard. Mason and West are obviously clear No. 2s, but their talent and high selection suggest those teams are either uncertain about their starters or already thinking about the future. Plus running backs get hurt.

13. KaDeem Carey, Bears.
14. Devonta Freeman, Falcons.
15. Charles Sims, Buccaneers.
16. Andre Williams, Giants.

No promises on the order here, as these backs will probably go in different combinations in every draft. Each is the clear No. 2 or lower on their respective teams, for now, but has talent to one day be a No. 1 and possibly featured guy.

17. Johnny Manziel, Browns.
18. Jace Amaro, Jets.
19. Davante Adams, Packers.
20. Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Bucs.

Manziel's intangible appeal will get him drafted first among quarterbacks, and I guess in some leagues he'll go even sooner. But experience tells me quarterbacks seldom go early in rookie drafts. Amaro's appeal as a receiver will probably get him selected early; same for Seferian-Jenkins. Adams is one of a glut of rookie receivers who people will have different opinions on, but he could emerge in Green Bay sooner rather than later. I considered four other second-round wideouts here.

21. Donte Moncrief, Colts.
22. Allen Robinson, Jaguars.
23. Jordan Matthews, Eagles.
24. Isaiah Crowell, Browns.

Three other rookie wideouts are ticketed for either second- or third-round picks in rookie drafts. I also mulled new Dolphin Jarvis Landry. Crowell signed as an undrafted free agent due to off-field issues, but certainly has the talent to make an impact with the Browns if West doesn't pan out.

Criticisms? Comments? I can take it, so bring it on, and we'll discuss it over the next few days. If your own draft goes down this week, feel free to post a link.
