On the eve of the NFL Draft, we can say with some degree of confidence who the draft's most-loved players are at some positions. Goff and Wentz at quarterback, Elliott at running back. At wide receiver, though, you might get four different answers from four different teams.

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel runs a draft series each year where he talks to different NFL scouts about the top players at each position. Laquon Treadwell gets the most first place votes (8), but multiple scouts also give the nod to Josh Doctson (6), Corey Coleman (3) and Will Fuller (2). Very possible teams feel the same, with any of the four a possibility to be selected first.

One unnamed personnel director offered a blunt assessment. "It's just a bad group," he said. "There's not one sure thing." The article says it's possible there won't be a receiver selected in the first round.

That possibility alone, though, doesn't mean there won't be some fantasy stars to come out of it. The article cites 2008, when there were no first-rounders -- but Jordy Nelson and DeSean Jackson in the second. Or 2010, a widely panned group that has produced Dez Bryant, Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown.

Most likely, someone will go in the first round -- or there will be a flurry taken at the top of the second. It's not hard to see the Browns, who currently have the first pick of the 2nd round, taking a wideout there.

Where there is consensus is at tight end. In McGinn's story, 18 of 19 scouts called Hunter Henry the top prospect.
