Reggie Bush barely played last season; just 8 carries and 4 receptions with San Francisco before getting hurt. Apparently the veteran back will get another chance with another team, but his last full season makes it unlikely he brings much to the table anymore.
Bush is reportedly on his way to sign with the Buffalo Bills. They seem to have a need at the position with Karlos Williams suspended for the first four games. Perhaps the team views Bush as a passing downs back behind LeSean McCoy and likely No. 2 Mike Gillislee.
The last time Bush held that role, though, he brought very little of the explosiveness he had at one time. With the Lions in 2014, he didn't do a whole lot after the catch.
In that season, Bush was one of 30 different running backs to catch at least 30 passes. But he averaged just 6.3 yards per reception, nearly a yard fewer than 27 of those backs, and better than only two of them. Two Lions backs were more effective in that regard than he was.
Don't count on Bush making an impact with the Bills. '
