Washington trades for backup QB Hogan
Washington completed a trade with the Cleveland Browns that will bring quarterback KEVIN HOGAN to the team. Hogan actually started one game for the winless Browns last season but he is likely to compete with COLT MCCOY in Washington for the backup job behind new starter ALEX SMITH.

Cousins says Alex Smith trade was a surprise
Washington quarterback KIRK COUSINS said he was surprised to learn of the trade his team made this week to acquire ALEX SMITH from Kansas City. With Smith now on board in Washington, Cousins will be looking for a new team when he becomes a free agent on March 14th.
