Texans WR Hopkins endorses Savage for starting QB role

Houston wide receiver DEANDRE HOPKINS believes that TOM SAVAGE should be the Texans starting quarterback in 2017. Rookie first-round pick DESHAUN WATSON has received glowing reviews but Savage has taken all of the work with the first team and now adds Hopkins’ endorsement to his list of credentials.

Savage to Hopkins connection strong

Early into training camp the connection between Houston quarterback TOM SAVAGE and wide receiver DEANDRE HOPKINS is already strong. Hopkins has been catching everything in sight and Savage has been getting the ball to his star receiver regularly. We will see if the trend continues into the 2017 season.

Osweiler to start for Texans

Houston head coach Bill O’Brien said that BROCK OSWEILER will be the starting quarterback when the Texans face the Oakland Raiders in this Saturday’s playoff game. Quarterback TOM SAVAGE remains in the concussion protocol so the team will once again turn to Osweiler.

Texans name starter vs. Bengals

The Houston Texans have named quarterback TOM SAVAGE the starter for Saturday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Savage replaced quarterback BROCK OSWEILER, who continued to struggle with interceptions and ineffectiveness against Jacksonville last Sunday. The Texans have to start one of these guys but your fantasy team does not.

Texans bench Osweiler

Houston quarterback BROCK OSWEILER was benched in Sunday’s game against Jacksonville after throwing his second interception of the game. Osweiler has 16 interceptions this season and only 14 touchdowns. Backup TOMMore SAVAGE replaced Osweiler and was solid despite not throwing any touchdowns.
